A Capital Campaign for the Renovation of Our Beloved Sanctuary

"Let this be recorded for a GENERATION to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord!" – Psalm 102:18

Many have noticed the discolored and peeling paint in the ceiling over the pulpit and lectern. That is evidence of one of the hidden needs that has existed for some time in our beloved sanctuary. Concealed above that ceiling is aging electrical wiring which prompted a call to the fire department during a worship service last summer. Our outdated and faulty lighting is evident from time to time during worship. The windows are not able to maintain the insulation and efficiency required of our modern air conditioning system and are a persistent maintenance challenge. The audio-visual system is in need of updating.

A proposal has been under consideration for over two years, but rising prices in our current economic situation emphasized the need to act now before costs rise even higher. On December 15, 2021, the Trinity Presbyterian Church Session approved a contract for renovation of the sanctuary. The total cost of this project is $2,210,434. We currently have commitments and contributions of $1.3 million dollars.

Now that the project is approved, we can roll out our capital campaign: Generations, Embracing the Past and Renewing the Future. Psalm 102:18 says, “Let this be recorded for a Generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.”

Additional information will be provided on Wednesday evening, January 12, and through other means. Personal commitment cards and an information brochure are available at the Reception Desk and other locations throughout the church.
