Join us for Service Day on Saturday, February 22nd, as we send service teams all around Montgomery to “love our city.” We will begin at Trinity Presbyterian Church, at 8 AM, and meet back at the church for a late lunch – maybe a surprise food truck!

Each volunteer will receive a TPC Service Day T-shirt!

Nursery will be provided for children ages Birth-Kindergarten.
Please provide the names and ages of your children for nursery during your online registration.

Service Opportunities

Mercy House – (6th grade and up)

Trinity Presbyterian Church Supported ministry The Mercy House is one of the tools in the Washington Park Community to Redirect Lives. They are a “Day House” providing a safe place for people to receive all kinds of help. Volunteers will assist the ministry with sorting, organizing and hanging donated items.

Family Promise – (Family Friendly)
28 Crenshaw Street, 36104

Trinity Presbyterian Church Supported ministry that works with a network of local congregations to offer homeless families safe shelter, nutritious meals, warm hospitality, transportation and case management while they work to become self-sufficient. Volunteers needed with cleaning day center, cleaning toys, sorting donated items and minor repair work on the day center.

M.A.N.E (Montgomery Area Non-Traditional Equestrians) – (9th grade and up)
3699 Wallahatchie Road, Pike Road Alabama 36064

Local Not-For-Profit proving safe and effective therapeutic horseback riding opportunities to children and adults in the Tri-County region. Volunteers will make minor repairs to a couple areas of wood board fencing, painting fence black, staining a wooden bridge, and possibly staining the wooden bleachers

Medical Outreach Ministries – (Adults)

Medical Outreach Ministries provides free quality health care to the uninsured and medically underserved in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties in Alabama. Medical Outreach Ministries in moving to a new facility off Carmichael road and needs help moving to and preparing the new space for the ministry.

E.A.T. South – (9thgrade and up)
485 Molton Street 36104 (Rear Parking lot of Montgomery Advertiser)

E.A.T. South is an urban teaching farm in downtown Montgomery. Volunteers will help prepare the farm for a seed swap, organize tables, chairs and seeds, and do outdoor farm tasks like weeding. Additionally, participants might start a few trays of tomatoes and eggplants for the summer. E.A.T. South will provide all tools, water and gloves.

Montgomery Zoo – (Family Friendly)
2301 Coliseum Parkway 36110

The Zoo provides a safe and family oriented environment where the public can have an opportunity to spend some time with the animals that share the planet with us. Volunteers will rake leaves and assist with general cleaning around the zoo in preparation for ZooWeekend. Dress for working outside. Zoo will provide all equipment and supplies.

Garden District – (Family Friendly)

An opportunity to love Trinity’s neighborhood by edging and weeding the sidewalks, cleaning trash and debris from the gutters and storm drains.

LifeSouth Bloodmobile – (You do not have to register for this option)

To give blood you must be in good health, 17 years or older (or 16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and show a valid photo I.D.

Trinity Hall Day of Service Opportunities – (1st grade and up)

  • Assemble Snack Packs for each student at Montgomery Christian School with items donated by Trinity Church members (sign up here to donate needed items).
  • Assemble Diaper Bags for clients at First Choice Women’s Medical Center with items donated by Trinity Church members (sign up here to donate needed items).
  • Assemble Hygiene Kits for Mid-Alabama Coalition for the Homeless with items donated by Trinity Church members (sign up here to donate needed items).
  • Assemble packets for Sacred Road Ministries with items donated by Trinity Church members (sign up here to donate needed items).
  • Write letters and notes of encouragement to foreign missionaries
